I bought these transparent dvd/cd labels from Office Depot and they look nice. So I print disc covers for the disc so they look pretty nice. The thing is do they cause my driver to not read it?? I have been experiencing disk read error with my drive. But it does run and it can locate the disk. When there is no cover on it runs pretty smoothly. But Metroid Prime 3 Corruption runs fine with the CD cover on and it doesn't give me errors, but mario stikers charged gives me problems with the cd label on. I burn these on 4x with Sony Dvd-r disk. I burn with a Sony cd burner. So does the Cd labels really harm the disk reading process?

Labels make the disks too wide and stop them working, The wii drive is very "touchy"

I use printer that prints directly onto the disc. Works great.

Adding to the confirmation. The Wii doesn't like the extra thickness of the paper label. I print directly to the DVD as well.

Labels not only make the thickness of the DVD wider it also can make it unbalanced causing read errors. As well there is always a possibility that the glue on the label can deteriorate the DVD quicker.

So most recommend to either print the label on printable DVD's or use a sharpie to write the title of the game on non-printable DVD's.
