ok i did the xclamp a year ago and working perfect ever since
it died 2 days ago.....only 2 left rings of death......fans working perfect so i have no idea why im getting the overheat signal after being on for 30 seconds.......frustrating.....
ok mini update.........just opened the xbox and am running it with the cover off and i noticed that only 1/2 of the fan unit is running.....
the left half is off and the right half is on........have a huge fan blowing on it with the top off but it stopped working again.....2 red lights........ if only half the fan unit is running will the xbox turn it self off automatically ?

It will keep on working as long as there is power to some part of the fan. I suggest getting a whisper fan they work better and are quiter you can buy them on amazon. I suggest ordering the fan to see if that will help.

the xbox turns its self off because the cpu is getting too hot, not the gpu, so get direct coolness on that cpu, and not to metion the rest of the board and you will be fine. but as was said before me get an offical 360 aftermarket fan.

was going to go to radio shack and see if they will test the fan and make sure its the fan and not the xbox itself......or maybe ill just get the fan......is the normal whisper ok or should i spend 30 and get the better newer whisper????
