I've been meaning to mod my Wii since the first modchips were released, but for various reasons was unable to early on, and once the new boards and chips came out things got too complex for me.

I now have a D2C Wii I picked up in May, the main things that have been keeping me from getting it chipped are the complexity of installation and the price of D2C chips.

However, I've heard that with the V3 Wii-clip you can use that neat little $17 Wiikey chip can be used on the D2C Wii's. I can get the clip and the chip for very little money, and the installation looks ridiculously easy, I'm very excited.

Is this true?

No. Wiikey only works on D2B and earlier boards.
