I am about to purchase a D2pro pre soldered (not sure if I need the D2E or the D2C & D2C2 version, because my Wii wont arrive for a couple of days to check the serial).

Some questions I have...

When I install the chip, will it play region free, or is there something that will need to be soldered in order for that to work?

Is the disassembly/reassembly of the Wii easy (I watched some videos, and it does not look too difficult)?

What kind of problems are people having with this chip?

My impression was to get the pre soldered chip because it will not effect the warantee (am I correct?).

Let me know everyones success/problems with this chip...

I am going to purchase from Modsupplier (http://www.modsupplier.com/catalog/solderless-d2pro-modchip-d2c2-p-260.html) for $85.50, and then pay around $30 for quicker shipping. Is there anywhere else online that sells pre soldered chips for a better price (I do not know how to solder)?

These following Information could have been found if you used Google.

What is a D2pro?
It a wii modchip. Its an upgraded version of the D2CKey, and made by the same people. The D2pro is one of the best wii modchips out there.

What can I do with is D2pro?
Play wii backups, region free, modified disks. All that good stuff.

Can I install a D2pro in my wii?
The D2pro V3 supports all the wii drives, including the new D2E.
However, people with D2C2 wii drives have reported problems. So if you know you have a D2C2 drive, go with the D2pro V2

Where can I find out my wii's drive set?
Gives you an idea, but the only way to be sure is open your wii

Now that I know what drive I have, does the the D2pro have to be solder?
Yes, I believe its 9 points.

I can't solder, what should I do?
Hire someone to do it for you, or you can buy it with a wii clip.

A wii clip?
The modchip gets soldered to the wii clip, and you attach it to your wii.

I know what I am looking for, so where should I buy a modchip from?
Over 90% of modchip sites are fake. Look here for the best choices

Will opening my wii void my warranty?
The wii doesn't have void stickers, so no.

Ok if it doesn't void my warranty, I will give it a shot. How do I open it?
