Double news and weather channels? Error message "channel can't be used"?

Hi,
I have a NTSC-USA wii with an installed wiikey. The firmware is 3.2 and it has the homebrew channel. So my problem isn't double news and weather channels. My problem is I don't have working news and weather channels anymore. How this happened is I tried to get rid of the double news and weather channels by using the Wii Duplicate Channel Remover v2.1 in homebrew but the Wii Duplicate Channel Remover v2.1 removed the news and weather channels that actually work. So now I?m stuck with a news and weather channels that cannot work. When I start the news or weather channels, the screen turns black and it shows the error message "channel can't be used"? I really want my news and weather channels back. What should I do to fix this? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

You probably used a JAP or PAL version of the Duplicated Channel Remover which removed the NTSC(U) Channels.

Try this and see if it will work...

Download the NTSC(U) version of the Duplicated Channel Remover which you can download HERE. This should get rid of the PAL/NTSC(J) version of the duplicated channels.

Now find a NTSC(U) original or backup game that has an update on it. This should perform the update and add the NTSC(U) News/weather back and hopefully perform properly for you.

Thanks for the reply, but sadly the iso file you gave me couldn't be read on my wii. I had the "trouble shooting error" when I put the burned disc in the wii. Also I'm not sure which NTSC(U)games have update. Can you please give me some examples? Thanks.

Reburn it and make sure you use quaility media. The ISO I linked you to works perfectly fine.

As for updates on games just try a few and see if they update. Make sure they are NTSC(U) updates.

Yup you were right it was a bad burn. I just got it to work removed the foreign channels and updated my wii and got back the news and weather channel. Thanks for all of your help. :D
