Any way to tell if I have TA-088 with the new CPU ?

i mean without attempting pandora/MMS ... i don't have pandora battery yet its coming in the mail BUT

i'm getting very nervous after reading DarkAlex's blog about the unhackable TA-088 WITH the new CPU. I understand you can hack a TA-088 if it has the old CPU.

I bought my new black slim off amazon a week ago and it came with firmware 3.95. I am in north america, which apparently will be the last to get the new cpu TA-088's ....

i tried looking but i don't see anyway to know if I have a TA-088 new cpu... can anyone reassure me so I don't stress out and go crazy ?? i wanna throw this PSP out the window its driving me insane and nail biting

anything 4.00 or higher is the newest ta-088. 3.95 is questionable, and pandora is the only way to find out.

Not sure, just be patient and optimistic. I think your psp will be able to run pandora and mms. Things should work out fine just be patient.(something im not good at)

thanks for the words guys i appreciate it. and yes i'm definitely trying to be patient and have even resorted to loading DEMO games on my PSP so at least I can do something with it.

I contacted a guy who posted on dark alex's blog about his brand new PSP slim which came with 3.95 firmware just like mine. He got back to me and told me he was able to CFW it so that has reassured me a bit.

I will just be keeping my fingers crossed for now.....

Hrm welp someone commented recently on Dark Alex's blog that 3.95 comes loaded on new TA-088 V2's ... so i am guessing (hoping) that's what i have sitting here... which makes sense really that the next step would be for V3's to come loaded with 4.0+

I may be getting my datel tool as early as tomorrow but hopefully no later than saturday and I will report back with my results !!

the only way to check with official firmware is to open the psp, which I don't think anyone would be doing that to a new psp.

Wow guys !~! the service mode tool arrived today !

I can confirm that my brand new PSP slim that came with 3.95 is moddable... the process went flawlessly ! I guess all my reading beforehand paid off cause it took no more than 10 mins and i'm up and running with 4.01m33-2

thanks for all the support hopefully i can repay in the future to other noobs like myself
