My mate just asked me to flash his 360 because his halo 3 game was damaged, taking it apart i found it was a ms28 samsung. by some luck i found that he had sata conected to his dvd drive on his comjputer and conected the samsung drive. then in my computer it showed the drive. does this mean it can be flashed? and safe?

Also, the sata is Nvidia Nforce 430/410. it detects the drive and shows up on my computer. so i was wondering would this work?

yes it will work. samsung ms28 can be flashed if u have the right tools for it.

well, i thought it would work but my friend had virtual drive installed and i mistook it for a 360 drive. i now can't seem to detect the disc drive. any ideas? will nvidia 430 work? or is this the reason it can't detect the ms28?

use one of the regular tutorials but this should work on any of the nforce chipsets

wo, wo, wo. hold up. you cant flash a ms-28 drive through windows. stop what you are doing before you brick the drive. i will post a guide for you to use in approx 2 min.
