Nero 8-Ultra audio ripping question

Hey all:

Just bought Nero and also I'm new to ripping on computers.

There seems to be 2 different areas in Nero where you can rip cds.
1. Auto Ripping - not many otions here except for file type
2. Rip Audio CD
digital
output wave
pcm wav file
44100 freq
16 bits
stereo channels

I'm looking for the highest quality copy and I wanted to know in method 1 if you select the wave format is that the same quality as method 2 with the options shown above.

I tried both methods and the size of the file is the same.

Besides sound quality is there any other reasons to use one method over the other. Method 1 list the artist and song title and method 2 does not. Must be a setting for method 2 that I don't have set correctly.
