Hi Shazza.

I know how frustrating it can be learning to burn dvds. I suggest that you do what i did and look atthe guides on this web site. They are a great source of information, and thats where i learnt a lot. They are step by step guides, and you can pick what soft ware you use. Personally i use DVD Decrypter, DVD2One and Nero 6, but thats just my choice. A lot of people seem to find satisfaction in DVD Shrink. The choise is yours.

Hope this helps a little bit

As Kerry has quite rightly explained there is a few ways to back up DVDs.
My preffered choice is also
DVD Decrypter
DVD2One
Nero 6 Ultra

But there are many DVD Shrink users here (on aD)...and that freeware dispenses of both DVD Decrypter & DVD2One (it will be down to trial & error)
There are many guides about , feel free to check GUIDES section of Afterdawn.com & please don't type w/ CAPS lock on as it is deemed as shouting in Forum.

Using DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink automatically removes encryption/macrovision !!

Hi Kerry
I have been backing up my dvd's for some time and i use what i think is the best 2 bits of kit you need.
Smartripper and clone dvd is all you need and i know you can find the guide how to use clone dvd on this site and you may find SmartRipper guide to on this site to.I have 100% sucssess with these two bits of software you really can't fail.I have tried most of the others two like one to one Nero 6 and all the others.I just think these two are easiest for someone just getting started.
