I'm using DVD shrink to compress DVDs and burning the ISO files to Verbatim DVD+s.
What is the best size to choose in preferences i.e. I have 4400 MB set at present--is it better to choose a larger or smaller size for the ISO?
Many thanks.

It all depends on the media. Cheaper media has trouble allowing drives to read media that's too close to the edge. I shrink mine to 4300, but that is my preference. Since you're using Verbatum's, you can leave the files at 4400.

Mine is typically set at 4420 or 4430 using Taiyo Yudens.
You should be fine at 4400.

Many thanks for your replies. I think I'll stick with 4400 if I'm burning to Verbatim or ty DVDs, and decrease the size a bit if I'm using other media.

At one point in time I jumped on the 4400 bandwagon. But I jumped off of it and leave shrink at default size. I've not had any issues with it. Just stay away from junk discs and you'll be fine....
