I have an xbox that is run out of microsofts free repair, and has a damaged warrenty sticker.
Now, if I sent it back to Microsoft, would they repair it? (Bear in mind, that I will be paying £50 to get it repaired because its not longer in warrenty).
I want to send it back and get it repaired, I'm not fussed about the warrenty being out because its 3 years old, but because the warrenty sticker is void I didn't know if they would take it back and repair it.
Also, it has a flashed harddrive, but I dont know any info about that because it was the previous owner that flashed it.
I'm not so sure about that. We all know MS likes money right? So here's an end user who is willing to pay to have MS fix his console and I'm sure while they, MS, are at it they'll swap the flashed dvd drive out with one of those wonderful new lite-on drives. I'm sure in the mind of MS that's a win-win situation until the Lite-on is hacked. I mean if he sent it in trying to get a free repair under the warranty and he had already flashed his drive or voided the warranty in some way and they detected it then yeah they would send it back but he's already noted that he's paying them for the repair right? Just my opinion anyway.
