Ok, here's my problem, i had my SH-D162C installed in a XP machine and working fine, now i have upgraded an installed it into my new Dell XPS420 with VISTA (through a VIA VT6421 RAID Controller & 40-pin connector), I can't get Xbox Backup Creator v2.8 or Schtrom360XtractV4.0 to read the disk, have tried different Xbox disks and all. Backup Creator shows the following in the log but the start button is still Greyed out:

Xbox Backup Creator v2.8 Build:0275 By Redline99

Found ODD: Optiarc DVD+-RW AD-7200S 101A at [F]
Additional Info: Jan09,2008
Found ODD: TSSTcorp DVD-ROM SH-D162C TS05 at [G]
Additional Info: KREON V1.00
Nero v8.2.8.0
ImgBurn 2.4.2.0 is available
ImgBurn - The Ultimate Image Burner! by LIGHTNING UK!
Getting media info [G]
Media Type: DVD-ROM
Bytes Used: 7.05 GB (7,572,881,408 bytes)

S360X says 'No valid alt pfi found!' and won't burn either.
Anyone have any suggestions for me??

Some things you can check into:
1. Make sure the Samsung drive is set up correctoly (master or slave) and make sure it is correct on the cable.
2. Make sure the Xbox Backup Creator is set with the correct drive you have in the drop down boax ( i think that is on the read tab)

3. IN your device manager make sure that your system is not showing a conflict with the Samsung drive

I have never used Vista myself (nor will i until they force me to) so i am just taking a few stabs as to things that could possibly cause a problem.
