Memory card problems on slim ps2

So I have friend that bought a memory card online and told me that it wasn't working. When I went to look at it,I thought it looked pretty fake; it had all the sony logos on it but defenitly wasn't a sony memory card. (This memory card won't load on his ps2 but ps1 memory cards work fine)

Despite that it's a 3rd party memory card I imagine it should still work on his ps2. I tryed it on my ps2 and it worked fine

Does anybody have any idea whats wrong?

Did your friend try it in slot 2 of his PS2.

I forget what version PS2 but some were saying they had troubles with Slot 1. Sometimes would work, and sometimes not.

Not really sure otherwise, but if it works in yours, I guess you get a free mc huh,lol

Yeah we tried that. After a while it actually stop working in my ps2 but I think I fix it.

I opened it up and the circuit board was way back so I just pulled it up more and it works fine in mine again. So I just got try in my friend's ps2 see if it works.


Dang though I almost got a free mc. XD
