Ok so I made my first attempt at installing CFW on my PSP today. I made the magic stick, had the pandora, pop them both into the psp. Only problem is, the pandora won't work. I got it from a friend who used it to mod his psp phat, so I know it worked....at some point...

It has however been sitting on his shelf for about a year so I guess the battery is dead. I have tried charging it but neither PSP seems to be able to. When I put it in the phat the orange light just blinks, when I put put it in the slim nothing happens.

Using an AC adapter both psp's boot up normally with the stick and pandora in. Neither PSP can detect the pandora actually being present; I get dashes in the battery info section.

Is there anyway to revive this battery? Or am I stuck trying to find another one?

Maybe cracking it open and finding any broken legs on a chip. You can reconnect a leg by bridging it or by connecting the pieces with a piece of wire.

Is it a slim batt or a phat batt because I know that a slim batt in a phat psp will make the orange light just blink when charging but putting it into the slim make sure the psp is compleatly turned off (hold the power switch till it turns off) then put the battery in and let it charge for say an hour then try it. if it is a comercial tool battery then I wouldent advise opening it up.

The pandora is a PSP phat battery. When I put it in the slim to charge the power light doesn't light up at all.

When I put the pandora in the PSP phat to charge I get a blinking orange light.

Problem is neither the phat or slim psp actually detect the pandora as a battery when I have it in one, so many the contacts on it are broken?

Don't know, I guess I'll leave the pandora in the phat for an hour and see if the blinking actually means it's charging it at all, seems to be my only option atm before I start looking for a new pandora.

Edit Update: Yea, the charging doesn't do anything in the phat.

No, that's piracy....and piracy is, you know, bad. Against the law. A big no-no.

Thanks for the help guys, I guess I'll have to consider buying one online.

Should I tell my friend to just toss this old one? Since it doesn't seem to work on the phat either.

Hi,

I got the same problem with my limited final fantasy crisis core slim psp
the pandora battery I own is identical as in the following link:

I made a magic stick on a 4gb duo stick but when puttin in the pandora it doesn't boot nor do any LED flashes.. When the PSP is on the AC power suply, there is no battery icon shown on screen and in the battery information only the extern AC power is shown. The power LED blinks when the AC adapter is connected. I let the pandora battery charge for the night and in the morning the power LED still was blinking.

This was the only topic where this problem was talked about.. someone know what I shoul do now?

thanks!
