What model is better for PS2 games?
The 60GB has Emotion Engine (Hardware)
The 80GB has upgrades of emulations to play PS2 games (Software)

My Question is which is better?

Well, you might honestly not know, so here's it in a nutshell:

The 60GB (and 20GB?) has better compatibility because it's got the Emotion Engine - the actual processor for PS2 games.

All other models have less backwards compatibility because they're software-based.

But you could've done a quick search and you would've found the answer fairly quickly. I'm surprised you created a thread just to ask this.

Not the new 80gb hard drive models. Its the same as the model that had the 40gb hard drive in it because that one doesnt play ps2 games at all. We all might need to change how we identify these diffrent consoles now that diff models are coming in. but not really new models, all Sony does is change the hard drive. I hope this rumored ps2 firmware update is acutually true. It would be a good idea if it was a choice wether you wanted the emulator installed. maybe a PSN purchase would be good. Everybody knows they are gonna want to make a profit off of it. Because doing that means they wont sell anymore PS2's
