I just bought a new Wii 2 weeks ago in America and it came with Version 3.1U, I decided to get it modded in China where I live as it wil be cheaper as they are the masters at piracy. After 2 weeks of them trying every mod chip they had and various other modders they said it can't be modded. I wonder if its because they are so used to modding Japanese Wii's that there chips wont work in US ones? Anyway my serial number is LU587984793....I hope someone can help me to figure out this problem and what Mod chip to uses so I can order it and give it to the Chinese modders to install.. Please help I am stuck and frustrated with this... Cheers

HAHA the Chinese masters of piracy. They are masters of something else too....

Did they tell you anything like what chipset it has inside? Did they just use some cheap generic modchips? I believe the D2Pro9 v.3 will work with the new D2E Wiis. Could try that.

Ya your right! they most likely are installing some generic crap chip inside. So i'm not even gonna risk getting the D2Pro9 v.3 chip sent here and get them to install it again and mess it up, instead i'm gonna send my Wii back to the US and get my folks to bring it to a modder. Man this is gonna be one expensive Wii

LOL, Scoob you should bring it to Hong Kong. There is nothing unmoddable in HK, If it can be modded, it can be done, period!!! HK rules!!

I guess ud better get D2Pro or Wasabi2 (they say it's D2E compatible too). There is even a cheaper on called D2SUN which I beleive having read somewhere it's D2E compatible. Why I say it's better to get it, cause the price of shipping it back n forth is more than the price of the chip itself, and so far, D2E is the latest chipset and it does have a compatible Mod.
But the choice is urs.
