i downloaded th torrent link and all it is is a bunch of rar files do i burn em to cd? still no luck with dvdx i got it to say something about it when i hit launch dvd but it resets and loops back to unleash x over and over until i go into settings and disable autolaunch dvd im very new to this and i dont know where to put anything on the xbox ftp to get them to work right please help me.

Ok first you need winrar

and something to burn the image to a dvd (nero, imgburn, etc)

Now you're ready to make the aid disc

browse to the folder where your torrent is downloaded. Double click on the first rared file as shown in this picture.




You will now see the .iso file. Click and drag that file to your desktop to extract it. Then put your dvd-r into your computer and start the imgburn software. It will ask you for the location of the iso, click your desktop then click the iso and burn it.

It's fairly simple but some people get stuck so if you have any more questions let me know.

ok well i used nero and it wanted to use a cdr instead of a dvdr so i burned it to a cdr and when i click launch dvd on my dash it says autolauncher and all with the x logo but nothing ever happens i just want to watch dvds without that stupid remote i got a few things working i got pcxs emu to work kinda and it shows up in my emulator list, i got xbmc on there too but i have to go into explorer to launch it instead of it being in my applications menu on my dash i quess this is just a little different than a computer and it'll take a little time.

oh there is another app to install to watch dvds without the remote I just put it on there earlyer and wathed a little leagaly blode I picked the fist dvd app I think there is 2,I couldnt find any button to take me back to the main menu which in a downside Im gonna try the other one

you can watch dvd's with either xbmc or dvdx2 player.

You should be able to find the map button and it will show you a map of how the controller is laid out, i think it's either start, clear or black.

And watching legally blonde..... that i wouldn't admit to.

Good choice going with AID! Nothing and I mean nothing beats it!


If DVDs or media such as videos/movies is something you are after I would suggest just installing XBMC as the default dash from the start and then go track down the latest version and upgrade to it.
