Component to vga cable only showing green tint

I have an xbox 360 and i want to hook it up to my 24" monitor via vga. So i went on ebay and bought a component to vga cable and hooked my xbox up to the monitor via that cable. Everything shows up but it is all green. There is very little blue and red. When i unplug the blue component cable all the blue goes away, when i unplug the red, all the red goes away. But when i unplug the green one the entire picture goes away.

Its either the cord, or your 360 is on its way out. My 1st 360 started showing up green b4 it got 3red lights.

I know its not the 360 because i plugged it into my tv via component and it works. And checked the cable and everything is right.

I don't get it, you say your using VGA, but your plugging in blue red and green cables?

Vga and component are the same. Its just that in component cables the red green and blue are split up into different cables. With a vga cable they're all in one.

Do you know if it is even compatible with 360? Id recommend the Xbox 360 VGA HD Cable, like in the link above. You wont have any problems using that

If you need cables, go to monoprice.com and be happy you get the best cables for killer prices. I have many friends and myself who've bought a lot of cables from them. All high quality with no issues. Shipping is quick too.
