Homebrew ISO installer

I am on Wii firmware 3.2U and trying to get Homebrew Channel without the Twilight Hack. I can't seem to find the info I need so here I come to ask...

First off, from the homebrew channel website:

.ISO (Selfbooting disc image for people with drivechips)

I downloaded the the_homebrew_channel-beta_8-iso-USA.tar.gz file

How do I burn this? .gz seemed like a compression container so I pulled out a .tar file from it. I then changed the extention to .ISO and burned it with ImgBurn.

I put it in the Wii and turned it on but got nothing to work from it. I started reading around and figured I needed to 'boot' to it.. but how do I do that?

I figure I'm doing it all wrong and need some help!

Tar is another compression. I'm not sure why they compressed it twice but you have to extract again. Once you do that you should get your iso.

Thanks for that.. I was just figuring that out!

Anyhow, I got the disc burned and installed the Homebrew Channel.

Now what do I need to do to my SD card to run ROMs. It is formatted to FAT16. Do I need a file on it from the Homebrew Channel website? Or is that just for the Twilight Hack...

Well, provided youve already got an emulator on your SD card all you really need to do is put your rom files into the required directory on the SD card and your ready to go.
