Hi

I was trying to solder a D2pro 15 wire to my wii, but without luck. The drive can't take the disc in. I then rechecked the soldering, no visual probs. I tried to remove the D2pro but the drive won't take the disc. No sound from the drive at all. There is the normal picture on the screen so it's not totally toasted.
I rechecked the PCB for wrong soldering, and it all seems okay. I tried the fuses as well. But I still can't get the drive to work.
Are there any way to fix this or is it a new drive? any measurepoints on the PCB?

It seems that there is a solder bridge somewhere on the IC legs. Try dabbing some soldering flux on any suspicious legs and heating it with a soldering iron to re-flow the solder.

Thanks, that worked. Never thought about it, but of cause it's a good idea.
Now it's spinning again. Back to my mod problem.
