hi
i have an original release day u.k psp so iv never had to downgrade my firmware, that was until my brother borrowed it for the weekend rented a game from blockbuster and update the firmware to 4.05 "what a twat!"
is there a way of downgrading it back to 1.5 without making a pandora's battery, i only ask because someone said to me you only have to use parndoras battery if you have the slim psp, i have the original so i thought it was worth asking the lads who would know for deffo before i start ripping my battery apart and hacking off wires...lol
any advice would be great

Your only option is Magic Memory Stick + Pandora Battery. There is no current downgraders for 4.05 firmware.

Just use the AC Adapter without the battery in it.

sorry to intrude, but i didnt want to make a whole new thread for just one yes/no question. i already have a pandora battery and my magic stick that i made, and have successfully installed cfw, but can i use the same magic stick to install cfw onto my cousin's psp? or would he need his own magic memory stick of his own?

right after following the guide by ddr3c3po in these forums i have easy downgraded and flash the custom firmware,
ddr3c3po guide is so simple and easy complete with downloads of all the tools you need, there should be no one having any problems doing it
i also read that if you touch some of the other legs on the chip in the battery you will kill the battery...not ture
i crossed the legs of the chip 3 times they sparked loads of smoke came out,the i put a hole the the side of the cell with a knife twice that sparked and smoke came out, i just put some tap over the small hole put it all back together and it still worked fine...
noob's please note...
once your all done you do need a umd in the drive to boot the game, i sat there for 30mins tiring to work out why they would not boot until i tried sticking a game in ...lol

Please do start a new thread unless posting in a sticky...it's not nice to hijack as it confuses the OP and those trying to help.
