i bought a wii 20 minutes ago... and i just got home.
so i have to open it up, right? so i can see the serial number so i can order d2pro9?
but how do i open it up?
is there any step by step instruction with pictures?

The D2pro9 works with all wii chipsets, so you're safe ordering it.

And opening the wii requires a triwing screwdriver, which can usually be ordered with the modchip but can be difficult to find elsewhere. There's some good guides for opening the wii on youtube.

ok so when i go here, i have to choose between D2C/D2C2 or D2E.

so without opening it, how do i know which one i have?

I reccomend you get your screwdrivers from Dealextreme.com

They take about 2 weeks to arrive, but you get both the Phillips and the triwing for under $2 and the shipping is free @_@

Probably best to order before you get a wii. lol. nvm.

i already have phillips.. so i just need the triwing and it comes with the modchip.
so do i just pick D2E???
or do i really need to open it before i can order it?

Yeah it's best to open it up to be sure which chipset you have- D2C/D2C2 or D2E.

ebay is like $6 shipped or Dealxtreme $1 shipped but can take a while, Or use a Big Rock!!
