Just list it as it is and sell it. Eject problems with Samsung drive are pretty common and not hard to fix.

The gears don't wear out. It's the rubber band which drives the gears. After time, dust and lint will build up on it, causing it to slip. It doesn't take a lot of build up. Easy fix; use a q tip and alcohol. Clean out the v- grove in the pully and the rubber band.

And while you're doing that, also use a q tip/alcohol and clean off the rubber seat around the spindle. That, too, will collect dust and lint. When that happens, the disc will slip on the spindle when the drive is going through spin up. When the disc slips, you'll hear a squeaking/grinding/rattling sound.

It's possible the rubber band could have lost some tension. If it won't eject with a disc in the tray than it's a bigger problem than cleaning would fix. If does eject with a disc in the tray you didn't clean what you needed to.
