When I inserted the Tiger Woods 09 disc it prompts for an update, I say yes, but the update fails ... then I went to update my wii online and update to 3.3U without problem, but the disc still says my wii needs to update, I say yes again and it did not install the update.
Using wiikey 1.9g
Any ideas?

Nevermind, I just found the reason. When I donwloaded the ISO, in the nfo says USA, but when i went to verify the iso with wiso (wii utilities) it says EUROPE ... Thank you for your answer. Downloading USA from another source right now.

Similiar question fellas;
I have a wii modded with a wiikey. I have no idea what version the wii key is, but it is not a D2C or whatever, its just a plain wiikey.
Yesterday I turned on my wii and checked for a firmware update. I have not used it for a while. There was an update and I downloaded it. I now have version 3.3U.
I put in my back up of TW 09 and the disc shows up as an update in the upper left corner of the screen. I removed the disc. I checked again for an update online and I got a lengthy message about whether I not I wanted to accept the update because if my wii has been modified, the update could make the wii inoperable. It said if I want to decline the update, hold the power button for 4 seconds and the update will be declined.
Am I stuck not being able to use my backup disc?

Rip the iso with image burn, then run through region frii and brickblocker and re burn, that should take care of it.
Anyone is welcome to correct me if wrong...

Please xplain further ( I will also do some digging here) about running thru region frii and brickblocker.... Assuming I am able to do this, reburn with Nero?
Also, why am I still getting an option to upgrade my firmware from 3.3U (the message about installing the new update may make a modified wii inoperable)?

I have tried 3 times to copy the iso with img burn, each time I get the same results (see above).
The disc is brand new, and I cleaned it after the first error. Is there another way to rip the iso?
Bottom line, I do not want to install any update that is on the disc that will make my modded wii inoperable (which is the warning I am getting if I click on the wii menu to update). And when I have the game disc in the wii drive, it does not show up as the game, it shows up as an update.

Well, I used the ISO file I had from raw dump, ran it thru region frii then brickblocker. I put the disc in (verbatim dvd-r). Tiger Woods 09 All Play showed up in the upper left section of the screen (yay!). But when I clicked on the logo, I got the 0001 error (unathorized device detected).
So...........

Are you updated to wii key 1.9s, the reason I ask Is because I got this last night and it works fine, I used brick blocker and region frii and put it in and played no update needed, im on 3.2 firmware, I got it at the usual place on the net. You probably need to update the wii key

That sounds like fun (NOT!). Is that pretty easy? I have not done any type of updating my wiikey since I had it installed, so I have no idea what version it is at right now? I have had it for almost a year and a half.

Just search for the 1.9s iso update for your region, download, burn iso with image burn, put into wii, and Poof you are up to date! Enjoy
