Using broken XBOX-360 Drive to copy games?

So my friend and I tried to repair his TROD XBOX 360 to no avail. We were wondering if it is at all possible to just use the dead 360's like a Kreon drive and copy 1:1 games so we can burn them for our flashed 360's?

I'm sorry about that. Sometimes I forget AfterDawn is a global community and English is not everyones native tongue.

Let me translate. You obviously didn't understand the simple answer right in front of you, and that's my fault.

- You say you have a Hitachi
- I say you need either a Benq or Samsung

See where I'm going with that? That means the Hitachi will not work. You need either a Benq or a Samsung if you want to use any of the 360 drives.
