I'll sum up the steps I went through to somehow destroy my PSP slim.

1) Made a magic memory stick using TOTALNewbi EasyInstaller.
2) Bought a pandora battery.
3) Charged the pandora battery.
4) Inserted the MMS while the PSP was off.
5) Inserted pandora battery, PSP turned on automatically.
6) Black screen, green power light, nothing else.
7) Pressed "X" out of panic, the two lower left lights starting blinking on and off, then PSP eventually shuts off.
8) PSP won't function out of black screen, i've tried everything, both regular and pandora batteries, different memory sticks, nothing works.

So basically, not even a pandora battery can fix this brick. Either I didn't make the MMS right (coulda been b/c I made it on Vista, although I didn't encounter any "error" messages so I assumed it worked fine), or I received a faulty pandoras battery that shat on my PSP.....

Can any hardcore PSP hacking braniacs solve this one?

Its Gotta be the memory stick man!
Try and find a windows xp machine you can use in order to make the memory stick.
Once you do find one use this MMS GUI installer its super easy!
Maybe try it with vista :)

Ideally the memory stick is supposed to me no bigger than 512mb! make sure its an authentic sony memory stick with magicgate support. I know 1GB will work though because mine does.

Alright, i'll try that one but on an XP machine. BTW I got a new PSP slim 3.90 OFW, traded in my bricked one. Couple questions first:

1) Any special things I need to remember to do before using the MMS and pandora battery together like holding the L button or anything like that?
2) What CFW does that program allow me to install? Can I just use "Network Update" to bump the CFW up to 4.01 or w/e the newest CFW is?

I'm scared crapless now b/c I don't wanna screw up this new PSP slim I got...

Sigh....You just tried to install 3.60 M33 on a 3.90 PSP, didn't you? Update the memory stick files to Despertar del Cementerio v7.

So you're saying I should copy Despertar del Cementerio v7 over the existing one in PSP/GAME and get rid of the old one after making the magic memory stick again? (On an XP machine of course)

No, you need a way to get the memory stick in your computer and find a GUI that will install the files properly for you. You might only find one for Despertar del Cementerio v5, but thats okay. Anything over 3 will work fine.

Thing is, i'm pretty sure the process of using TOTALNewbi EasyInstaller then downgrading with the pandora battery and MMS installs 3.71 m33-2, NOT 3.60 cfw. Do I still need to do that additional Despertar del Cementario step?
