Put in a NEW SIM from a new Network.
Power on.
Select UNDO with NEW SIM in phone.
Enter code as above.
Select OK.
If it does not work, tell me: What happened? What message
you got. What codes you tried.
Above all, answer.

verified code twice,
and code the message
Error Code.
and stopped immediatly.
Why is this?

I got another Error Code!
I'm thinking maybe i should drop the idea of unlocking the phone.

nah it's a phone i got from work and i just wanted to copy all my #'s to it with my ca-42 cable from my other nokia 6070.
i wouldnt want to risk damaging it or invest $ in another sim.
i was surprised the code didn't work.
last time you gave me a code it worked immediately.

Borrow another SIM and try it.
Someone may have tried to unlock it before.
Some phones will give an Error message if it is UNLOCKED.
You can try one more code.

Hardlocked explained.
Each phone is unique and requires its own code.
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.
"Error code" wrong code.
"Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" or
sometimes, simply "Phone Restricted" it's hard locked.
Used up all your free tries!!
You only get three to five FREE tries.
If your phone is hardlocked, it means that you will
not be able to unlock it with a code.
Your phone WILL still work with the Service you
have now.
It will work.
If you want to unlock it after it is hardlocked, you
will need to take or send it to a professional unlocker.
It requires expensive Hardware and Software.
You will NOT break your phone.

this code didnt work either.
perhaps someone unlocked it before me,
but if so, i don't understand why some of it's features are still inaccessible (such as downloading data from ca-42 cable, or the use of different sim cards in it).
i used 3 tries already.

I inserted the SIM from my private phone, and managed to get a call out.
that means the phone is already unlocked, and that i'm a douche bag, doesn't it?
