My PSP 4.01 M33-2 and 2 PS3's (20gb & 80gb) @ 2.42 work, though depending on the WiFi speed I am connecting through (outside my home) I sometimes have issues. But when I am home and use either direct connection OR my routers WiFi to either PS3 I never have an issue.

I just don't understand why I can't connect. I have an original fat psp mobo and it will register via USB. But it always says something to the nature of can't find the PS3 that your PSP is registered to.

Firstly, do you go and select remote play on your PS3 before you try and search for it through your PSP's remote play? If you just let the PS3 sit on it's XMB (main menu) your PSP won't be able to find it.

If it's something to do with your PSP's firmware, then try this:

I'm guessing you know how to use plugins?

Download that (it's made by Dark_AleX so it's perfectly safe) and it'll trick your PS3 into thinking your PSP is version 4.05, then it should register/connect fine :)
