Ok i've been doing so research and still have a couple of questions, i'am sure you tired of hearing them, but i just want to make sure i understand them...
ok i have a psp slim it i the ice or silver daxter pack, fw 4.50 which i update to it didnt come with it, i think i was 3.90 or later.
I ordered the para battery, questions:
1) For making magic mem stick can i used the 1 gb stick that came with the psp bundle?
2) after i make the stick
do i need to keep the files on it or they just need to be on there for the next cfw update?
3) the magic mem stick/files is just for the updating the cfw right? i dont need it to play homebrew, or etc.. ;)
4) what kind of ms can i used for magic mem or just to store homebrew/etc.. on them and what size? brand? (sandisk ok?)
i have filmate micro sd to ms duo adapter using a 2gb micro sd card on the psp now, i use that with no issue so i can use that for homebrew (got it from newegg)
5) do i just using this whole step proccess : (for making and downgrading?
or use the newbie installer, if so wheres the best place for the newest to d/l it? 9what version)
6) making the magic mem stick do i need to use a card reader or the psp ok?
7) i'am aware of the new boards that are in the psp that dont work with the paradra battery or something like that but, i did send my psp to sony to get a new screen since when i got it it had a stuck green pixel on it, but i got it back 3/5 months ago with a new screen or they replaced the entire unit, i dunno how i can tell since my was new and ex. condition but anyway..would i have that new board? how could i check? or should i be worried?
THANKS ALL I ADVANCE!

Paradra battery!!!!!!! ROFLAO!!!!!
Man, I love Super Noobies!
anyways....
1) You can try to use it, but it will take a while for the system to clean it out.
2) After you make the stick, you need it to work with the Pandora battery(not Paradra battery) to hack the PSP.
3) After you have successfully hacked(unbricked)your psp, you don?t need the files anymore to play Homebrew. Just make sure you got it at the CFW you wanted before getting rid of the files.
4) You can use the one you have. I recommend to not use a 8GB as when you use popsloader(program that converts PSX games directly to your PSP), it will not complete its process most of the time and sometimes you won?t get lucky adding homebrew games. Stay with a 2Gb or less.
5) Stay with Larry?s guide(the link you already have). You just need to buy the Pandora Battery(not Paradra battery, hahaha). Look on google to buy it or ebay.
6) If your gonna use the link you have, which I recommend, you have to connect you psp to your PC in order to be successful. So yes, PSP.
7) This is the part where its gonna be risky. You said that you first started off with a OFW under 4.05. The big mistake was to not upgrade it to 4.05. Now if Sony gave it back to you with that firmware, you might be screwed. But then again, I could be wrong. Most of the psps that already come manufactured with a firmware above 4.00 cannot be hacked. So, since you said you started off below that, there is only one way to find out. Hack it.---------But I hope someone can correct me on this.

A 1.yes you can use the same memory stick
A 2.no you do not need the file on your memory stick
A 3.right the files are only used to hack the psp.
A 4.you can us that 1gb stick that came with the psp for the mms, you can use any sony or sandisk memory stick to store games and apps.
A 5. yah you can use that one. i was going to link you to that one any way.
A 6. the psp is ok.

No, just upgrade to a 4.01 M33 custom firmware. It will have skype.
