hi

i have just installed a solerless D2C chip in my wii and it all works perfectley but when i burn my games they come up on the wii channel but when i click on it and select start game it always freezes after like 5-10mins of gameplay and some of the games like super mario galaxy will only load up to the selecting save file and then will freeze.

i have tried 2 kind of disc:

Verbatim dvd-r 16x
sony dvd-r 16x

both dvds do the same thing i have also burnt my games using 3 differnt softwares: nero, imgburn and alcohol 120 and have also brunt the games at differnt speeds i have tries 2x, 2.4x and 4x and they all do the same thing

PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZ HELP I REALLY WANT TO PLAY SOME GAMES AND I AM WASTING SOOOOO MUCH OF MY DVDs

i am sure that the chip is installed correctly because both red and blue light light up but the blue one stops blinking when the wii game freezes and the red one stays on all the time

PLZZ HELP

THANKS

Evidently it isn't working perfect if the games will not boot.

We also need more info. What Modchip do you have as well the version of that Modchip?

Saying I have a D2C Chip doesn't help at all since there are numerous modchips out there.

the game wii boot and wii come up on the wii menu i have had only one game working that is super paper mario but it still gets stuck rarely

i think it is the discs i am using that will not let my other games work and i just want to know if there is anyone else that has a solderless d2c chip that is working and what kind of disc they use to make their games work

You are not giving the correct name of the Modchip.

There are numerous D2C modchips out there.

If you want or help then you need to let us know what modchip you have.

list of D2C Modchips...

D2Ckey
D2Pro
D2Pro9
Wasabi
ARGON
Infectus 2
D2Sun

You need to make sure you don't have a D2C2 drive. If it is then the D2Ckey is not compatible.

You can not tell a D2C and a D2C2 apart by reading the chipset because they both say D2C.

There are a few differences on the drive which can tell a D2C and D2C2 apart.

Look at the images below. If your drive looks like any of the images then you have a D2C2 chipset.

If the board ID# has AMX then it is a D2C2...

If the board ID# has 2 letters under it then it is a D2C2...

The drive spindle has an extra piece of metal on D2C2 drives...

If your drive has any of the above then you have a D2C2 drive and will need to get a different Modchip that supports D2C2 drives (Like a D2Pro9 version 2).

Then your next step is using high quality media like verbatims or Tayio Yudens.

Burn at 4x using ImgBurn.
