Cant get xbox drive in to mode b

Hi guys trying to get my hitachi gdr 3120 078fk in to mode b using the slax disk. no matter how many times i try, slax gives me a error.

Using via sata pci card vt6421a

Followed tutorials to the letter but still cant get in to mod b. xbox drive is working fine.

pc is qute old atholon 1100.

I really want to say that there are three different methods to get into Mode B, but I know that there are atleast two. The other one is using the pin when powering on the drive. There is a video on how to do that. I believe there is a link to that video in textbook's guide for flashing. I would try that method if slax isn't working for you
