Current Flashget Version Question

I'm an avid user of Flashget, but I have a question about the current version. On the official Flashget website it says that the latest version is 1.9.6. However, when I look at other sites that have it for download, some list the latest version at 2.0.2.1028 or 2.11.0.1188. Does anyone know what the difference is, or what the official latest version is? Also, are there any advantages to these other versions on sites other than the official site? Thanks for the help.
