the 15 pack 8x, all the 2x are MII, so if u want MIS get teh 15 pack 8x, if u dont believ eme go to best buy and compare em.

I have never seen those in any store that sells verbatims, ever, only online cause they are pretty expensive.

I have verbatim dl+r 8x my burner always says optimum calibration failed. I'm going to buy the old one 2.4x maybe it will work.

The 8x can be MIS or MII. You can't know with look at the actual package. Also the regular 2.4x (up 6x) have always worked better for me.

kewl lol, i saw an advertise in Bestbuy for Memorex dvd+r dl 25disc/$20. I immediately bought 2 packs. 1st one failed, 2nd completed but xbox 360 can't read it. So i guess i will have to return them.

Stay with verbatims, memorex is horrible. My buddy uses ridata cuase his cousin sells em uber cheap, like 100 for $20 to him, hes had no problems with em. I prefer to do it right and use ONLY verbatims

Samclub has 50dvd+r dl verbatim for $59.99. Some ppl said they are MIS and MII. I'm gonna go check it out.

I can verify that. I buy mine from there and I have to search through the box to find the MIS ones.

occasionally you can get them cheaper than that from SC. i found them on sale for like 35 last month, grabed 3 packs of them. i know the one im using now is MII, not sure about the other 2, but they only sell the 2x ones there.

tavek, once again you are the man. He's right, the 15 pack 8x are the only ones made in Singapore. Trust us, I for one have done a lot of research to determine that. I would check out newegg, sometimes they have deals on 2 15 packs bundled together w/ free shipping. As tavek said "do it right, and use ONLY verbatim"!

By the way, you are looking to pay at least $20-$28 per 15 pack (of Verbatim), it just depends on the deal you can find.

I went to Sam and very disappointed to find all Verbatims are MII. So I looked around at the clearance and found 2 packs MII. Like everyone in here, we have heard the horror stories about MII but have anyone actually tried it? well, I have not and because the price marked down to $30, i bought 1 pack. Went home and burn 2 games, work flawlessly!!!. So I'm gonna go get the other pack today :) BTW, I'm using Sony Dru-720A.

i've been using the MII from sams club for about the last year and half (around 200 burns) for myself and friends, and have only had one that went bad and wouldnt read.

I also go to SamClub. The price for the 50 $60 thats great,but just make sure they are from SINGAPOURE and not INDIA. Got a INDIA pack and I got so many costers it wasnt even funny. Up until now never thought to check the MADE IN part. You know that will never happen to me again.

Also use the 2x speed I think the 8x is to fast and its more likely to cause a failure.

i have a 20 pack of 2.4x verbs that are MIS ... id post a pic but i through the sleeve/label in the garbage ...
bought from microcenter 3 weeks ago ...
@ mypspx about the horror stories:
i have been backin up my 360 games for over a year - been usin only verbs from the start ... about 3 months in - i opened a fresh pack of 20 and went through 8 fails - 1 successful and another 7 failures then a successful ... i PM'd some1 and they told me about the "Made In" fiasco - looked at the disc and sure nuff they were indians ... opened a new pack of singapores and no fails - been using singapores ever since ...

2.4x = 4x. Heck you can burn them out 6x if you want although 4x generally works best for me.
