This is most likely due to the newer copy protections on newer movies.
What is the title of this movie?
Try using DVDFab HD Decrypter.
99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Imgburn also works great at burning video_ts files. Haven't had one problem with it at all.

when dvdshrink cannot open a video_ts folder and gives you a "dvd navigation error", you need to process the video_ts folder with fixvts (full dvd).
This always fixes the navigation errors when I encountered them, I don't think nero or any other burning software has anything to do with it.
As long as your decrypting software is up to date, you shouldn't see any "navigation errors".

I got that message yesterday on one of my movies. I used DVDfab HD Decryptor instead and it worked. I ran it through FixVTS then shrunk it with DVD shrink.

My process to rip before burning:
dvdfab to rip (free)
fixvts to 'tweak' (free)
dvd shrink to compress (free)
Then you burn. This process should give you no trouble at all with any movie you might encounter.

This is an extremely effective method in my opinion. It's worked wonders for me thus far.
