This should be interesting. Were I not frantically involved with multiple msn convos (all to old afterdawn members!) I'd give it a bash now, so looks like I'll be late to the party again... :P

Then again, if you can spend so much at least wait till Nehalem comes out. End of October, I think.

Given all the things I've been hearing, I'm a little bit wary of Nehalem, if you're a gamer and are just about fed up of your current system and want something new in a short space of time, this will fit the bill perfectly. Forgive my cynicism but I'm not convinced Nehalem will actually be leaps and bounds above current tech.

Which? Some coolermaster cases are alright, but cooling for that graphics card will be a problem in the cheaper ones. I strongly recommend you get a new case with the build, as it falls within your budget.

I was going to use a centurion 590 for now (not mine), I was planning on buying a full tower case when I buy the rest of the parts. If you have any suggestions on what to get then?

Cases like the NZXT Zero have temperature sensors built in, numerous large fans and are nice and spacious. For the best cooling though, I'd say perhaps the NZXT Tempest with the NZXT Sentry 2 front panel add-on, or the Antec 900 or 1200 with same.

for a full tower either the extremely cool (both meanings) gaming orientated antec 1200, OR the sleek beautiful elegance called the Lian-Li PC-A70B (which i am getting for my build within the month with watercooling)

The P180 looks ugly. I love the HAF stamped on that case.
Alas, I can't afford it :( Looks like I'm gonna hafta stick with the RC690. Anyway, this is getting off topic so don't reply to me I guess.

It's a P190... :)
Anyway, for those with more realistic budgets, 932, Zero, Tempest or perhaps Armor.

The Thermaltake Armor is a very well built and easy to use case. The four stock fans cool it nicely :D
Also, if you want to use a tower cooler like the Tuniq, a full tower is almost mandatory. That thing is massive!
