hi, i want to buy a wii and put a mod chip in it. My question is can all the wiis have modchips installed because i know that the xbox 360 has the new drives that arnt flashable.

also another question. all i need is one of these lg readers

* LG-8163b
* LG-8162b
* LG-8161b
and the right software and any dvd writer to backup games? thanks

Yep each Wii drive set has a mod chip that you can use on it.

thanks for the reply i was just looking on ebay.com.au and i only found a few of these drives and they are all used and since i dont have a credit card i cant buy from overseas, also im using a laptop so i need a external one. can i buy a internal one and use it externaly with a usb? thnaks

All these drives are internal. You can purchase a external DVD rom case for it.

can anyone confirm this is the drive i need, it says lg but ibm aswell. Also is this like the samsung drive that you need to install kreon or something on it or is it good to go
