Hey, I have been trying to mod my xbox for quite a while now, and can't get it done. Its samsung, and I have followed tutorials to use iprep and prepare boot drive blah-blah-blah. My former internal floppy broke somehow trying to do this so I bought an external floppy to run via usb, i prepare drive but when i start up my computer i get a message that says something along the lines of, unbootable disk please insert correct disk (yes i do have the disk i made within the drive :P). So I got a usb drive, prepared that and when i run my computer by that all I get is a white j_ in the top left corner on a black screen screen, any thoughts HELP!
yea we determined earlier that it is the usb stick itself. the floopy is prolly not working because it is usb. try buying a micro cruser usb flash, they seem to be the good ones. (i believe scandisk makes it) they are the cheap ones, (luckily) i saw them at rite-aide the other day for $9.99 for a 1gb stick. they are the only ones that work for me and another guy on this forum. hope this helps
This might sound dumb but in iprep with the floppy disk drive did you check the box that reads "make bootable"? I have to use a usb floppy drive and I could see how it might have been overlooked. If you did check it then just disregard.
