i never really messed with plugins except for when i had cfw about a year ago that supported mp3 to be played in any menu.

now i cant seem to find any plug-ins that will allow me to do the same, mainly play mp3s in game, is there a way for me to access something like this through the VHS menu in my cfw?

i have 380m33-5

yes, but the app doesn't say its supported by 380m33 just 390m33 up.

i have it installed, but the readme isnt, well, readable
so i did this by memory.

i have the "any" folder and the "MP3Player_Plugin.prx" file in the seplugins folder on my memory stick.

i also have ms0:/seplugins/MP3Player_Plugin.prx writen in my "game.txt" and "vsh.txt" file.

ive placed songs in ms0:/MUSIC

ive went to recovery menu enabled the plugin and when im in XMB ill hit L-trigger and square and ill get some text that says "sample.mp3" in the lower left corner and my XMB is slow.

I have a flashing light as if its reading something off the memory stick. The other commands work I have mute, volume, change play mode, etc.

but I can't select songs.

am i missing a step?
or is it not compatable with 380m33?

ya i tried this addon out ... kinda tricky to get it working right cause the instructions are in japanese... anyways. took a bit but i figured it out.

you need to modify the "play_list.m3u" file and add all of your songs... also remove the line thats already in there which is why you (and i) were seeing that sample.mp3 thing popup... there is no sample.mp3 in the music directory so it had nothing to play.

.m3u file format is very simple its just a list of paths... once you get it setup and working right reboot and the plugin should work.

Bravo! Donaldo , i thank you
how would someone figure this out?

see the m3u file cames up as a some windows media player file, never would have thought of opening it with notepad.

but all is good now, thanks.
