Checking my steps for 2.01 ofw

Obviously I dont want to brick, so can a pro just take a look at my steps below and make sure I am good to go before I start. I have a phat 2.01 psp with OFW

I use downgrader Easy v2.00/2.01 Downgrader to get to 1.50
(question one, should I start at this firmware or upgrade to higher OFW)

Once 1.50 then follow these steps to get to 3.52
Installation for 1.50
Installing 3.52 Custom Firmware on a 1.50 PSP:

* Copy the folders 'kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher%' to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME/' on your PSP's memory stick.
* Copy the folder 'M33CREATOR' to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME/' on your PSP's memory stick.
* Run the kxploitpatcher program.
* Download the official 3.52 update: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1209 and rename to 352.PBP.
* Copy the 352.PBP to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME/M33CREATOR/' on your PSP's memory stick.
* Download the official 1.50 update: http://rapidshare.com/files/67857715/163_EBOOT_1.50.zip and rename to 150.PBP.
* Copy the 150.PBP to the directory; 'X:/PSP/GAME/M33CREATOR/' on your PSP's memory stick.
* Execute '3.52 M33 CREATOR' under GAME on your PSP.
* Then execute '3.52 M33UPDATE' under GAME on your PSP.
* Once finished, press X.
* Have fun on 3.52 Custom Firmware!


Am I done, or do I keep upgrading to newer CFW? My main purpose to to watch some movies, and play some games.

If I do upgrade to newer go all the way to 3.71m33-4 using instructions found at http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/569454

Also doing this I don't need to do the pandora battery? or anything else just run downgrader and then upgrade to CFW?

The downgrader should work.

Once you get to 1.50 then try this guide HERE.

It is allot easier then doing all the above steps to get to 3.52 or above.

Received error when trying to download any ideas

Failed to assign Flash2 device:800100D

Use these guides HERE to downgrade.

If you have issues with the 2.00/2.01 downgrader then try upgrading to 2.71 OFW and use the 2.71 downgrader.

Alright I am at 3.52 M33-4 and the next step says
"make sure the game folder kernel is set to 3.52 in recovery mode"

I have no clue how to do that. Any help would be great

Turn the PSP completely off (hold the power button up till it turns off).

Now hold the R trigger button down (keep it down) while turning the PSP on.

This will bring up the recovery menu.

Press down pad to configuration then press X.

Under GAME folder kernel make sure it is set to 3.52 kernel.

Then exit the recovery menu.

Thanks for all the help, the downgrader problem was due to some extra file on the flash. After that used the all in one upgrader and worked like a champ.
