I've read that the slow read/write of data from the wii to the SD card (legitimately from the wii menu) is caused by the encryption process.

Hopefully Nintendo will make this way faster in the future, hopefully by simply encrypting the header or something. That would make the games non-transferable between consoles (to the average player).
Let's face it, even with the current encryption, Wiiware and VC games are easily available anyway.

Regardless, it there a system patch that stops to encryption process altogether. I know Starfall does some graphical stuff and changes the health screen, but I just want to be able to quickly swap channels and such between my SD card and Wii memory.

Any help is appreciated.
