IM a true believer in research and statistics, not skepticism.
So please keep this legit, on point and lets find out a true thoery vs truth as nothing is 100%, but atleast we can lean twards somethign we can all agree on. I would like for my fellow freedom fighters to post how they were banned. We dotn need a paragraph. Ill narrow it down easy, and as long as this does not get closed I will update % or stats on a weekly basis or every day if possible.
Banhammer pole
example out of 20 popele 90% go tbanned playing halo3 demo
Heres the Catagories.
1- You logged onto Xbox 360 Dashboard and found that little message your banned from live.
2-You played a game (IE- Crackdown w/Halo 3 demo or Mass Effect) etc. And after an update you got banned. Remember you played a game then got banned.
3-You downloaded an update mearely cause the dashboard told you too and then you were banned for nothing alsmot similar to #1 only this time it aske du to download.
4- NEVER had a modded 360 yet still got banned. If so did you add an after market fan? yes or no.
5- If you were banned multiple times(2 consoles), did switching the hard drive cause your next console to get banned, YES or NO? Did u clear your cache? I doubt it if it got banned.
This should narrow down to the best scenario to finally calm others down and show that most bans came from bad games whichi im hoping to prove. If thsi gets big enough please sticky.

what about the people that havnt been banned are you going to do a ratio for that as well to compare and contrast?

Yes. Ill even add my friends who have not been to this site before
1- Banned from Crackdown/Halo 3 demo
1- Banned from Mass effect (Bad CRC)
- Me not banned.
(currently I xtreme, always cleared cache on new soft mod
Other friend not banned.
Same clear cache on every mod.

#2 never been banned. same system since 1st banhammer

Me - never banned, never changed any setting, never cleared any cache, and played several big releases before they came out. up and running 7 months.

drive samsung ms-28
also friend not banned
ms-25 using ix 1.4 modded for 2 months. rarely plays burnt games, typically plays retail. owned console for -time unknown, at least one year. never changed a setting, never cleared cache.

two banned 360s, both had ms25s and one was running extreme 3.3 when the first iextreme came out, but it was my bros and i didnt feel like updating it. mine had extreme 5.3 when the second version of iextreme came out. got banned last december when i got back to college. now we have two benq's both running 1.4.1 and neither have been banned since last x-mas. and i've played pretty much every major release a week or two before its been released.

who knows that games, i dont keep track of which ones i play, i just play them. and for mine, i got back to college, hooked up the 360, turned it on, it wouldnt sign into live, i checked the status codes, and noticed i had the banned signal in my MTU. same with my bros.

Also a person I know has 2 bans - Halo 3 (bad dwnload)& mass Effct.
4 =game playing Bans

2 = System Bans Dashboard

First off, thanks for the effort here tavek.
To the point...
Benq drive running ixtreme 1.4 for 6 months (1 of which I have been consistently on live)
Download updates, search live, etc. but I have not played any games over live as of now.
No BAN... yet

By the way, it would be very interesting if we continue to see a lack of bans for people on ixtreme 1.4 or above.... perhaps MS hasn't figured out how to ID it yet?

I think MS finally figured it can not be stopped & figured if banning someones system can really lead to some bad legal issues, ESPECIALLY when some people have been banned and should not have mearely by mistake. They have already blown so much $ on repairs, imagine if there are lawsuits UNKNOWN, and then to somehow push it to banning consoles, that type of public perception will destroy xbox 360. Its like Toyota has a cpu that shuts off its engine if an aftermarket part is put on to mod the engine. Bad for business.
Peter Moore has been open about banning consoles is the wrong way to go. I will admit, yes I have a Modded console, yes I download games, NO i dont do it for profit just persaonal use. I think it would be fare to say if XBOX live was $100 I would still pay it because it is that good and I love live. If people complain about price then they should stop the addiction or pick a new hobbie, or simply MOD the system and act accordingly. I for one knew what I got into modding my console, if it rrod and can not be repaird I simply will need to buy another console.

ive only had ixtreme 1.4 flashed to my drive. havent been banned, only played 1 game on XBLive but ive played a total of 8 or 9 games with the internet unplugged. been flashed for 3 or 4 months.

Ive been running a hitachi drive v59dj on ixtreme for the past 12 months ish,always on live.Not banned playing all games,non before release dates tho.
Unsure which ixtreme tho,maybe 1.2 or 1.4

I have modded 5 Systems so far
1 Hitachi (launch/arcade console) ixtreme 1.4 since march no ban
1 Benq (pro versions that came out around christmas) 1.4 to 1.4.1 back to 1.4 since march no ban (gta 4 texture issue's though)
this is my personal drive and i have played many games up to a week before launch but not going on live until after release date.
1 Hitachi (launch/pro) since april no ban ixtreme 1.4 no ban
played gta4 a week before release (offline)
1 Benq (pro christmas version) ixtreme 1.4 since may no ban
1 samsung (not sure how old but not falcon) 1.4 ixtreme since august no ban.
all consoles are used to play originals and backups, and are flashed at 8x. Good idea on the poll hope this helps.
Edit: All 360's are used to play on live frequently no issues thus far.

This is leading to bad rip games, IF anyone does get banned, post what games played. SO far people with proper soft mods seem ok.

oh, sorry. maybe we should make a topic saying how long and what youve done EXACTLY (like ive had ixtreme 1.2 before i flashed to 1.4 etc) and if you got banned what you played / did.
