wanted to know if the "USERS" ( accounts , user name , passwords ) created on a ps3 , are also backed up when u use the BACK UP option of the ps3 ? or is it only Mp3s or movies u downloaded ? what about the games u bought or got from account sharing , or patch that u downloaded ( game data utility ) , game expansions , ... ?
and also wanted to ask wich one would u recommend , the SWISS KNIFE Backup Option or the Backup utility of the Ps3 ?

Only your photos and MP3s, videos and saved data is backed up. NOTHING FROM THE PSN. This can be redownloaded again though by logging back into PSN when the drive is formatted.
don't worry about your user accounts and your friends on PSN all of that stuff is on flash memory nothing to do with the Harddrive so if you wanna backup data on the PS3 that stuff will be there also as far as patches,PSN games and media. your patches and updates will be erased but the PSN games that you downloaded will be on your PSN account so you can to download the same game up to 5times. your movies and music will not be saved that will be erased because its on the HDD unless you back it up hope this information helps you!!
