trouble with softvmux

yet another probably dumb question. but how do you load your roms from softvmux. what format do they have to be in. i have some that when extracted gave me a cdi format and some that gave me a .bin .cue format. i put both on a disk but disk wont read. i put the zipped the cdi image and it froze. once i click the roms it takes to a light blue screen and freezes. can anyone help?

.bins/.cues have to be burnt to the disc as a Saved image, not just by sticking the file on there. They work the same way as .mdf and .iso files which you may have seen.
