So ive had my ps3 for a year and for the most part ive been pleased with it.

i think its time to quit sell it and move on to something else.

Game releases always seem later than other consoles.
and to be honest nothing has made me play it and think bloody hell what a game.

ive had more fun on the wii and have better fps on the pc.

so without the exception of resi 5, and a couple of others sony has made me think twice about keeping my console as i bought it for mainly games and games is what ps3 is short of.

is anyone else thinking of abandoning sony or will they turn it around and make it the best console on the market.

I am on the same boat. Really annoying that there aren't that many good games.

Another thing that has ticked me off today is the delay with the EU PSN update, was really looking forward to trying the Fifa and Pes demos :(

Ahh well.

I feel the same way about the 360. It gets 1 and a half good games per year and I can play them on the PC. PS3 for all of the good exclusives. anything on the 360 that is good, I play on the PC

I have all 3 consoles so If a game comes out on the 360 or Wii that I am interested I won't be left out. PC gaming is expensive and too much hassle is involved. I have a co-worker that buys the best of the best when it comes to PC parts. But more often than not he can't even use his PC cause of issues like one time the RAM he bought was not compatible with his mother board or the power supply he has is just not good enough for the new graphics card he bought. Consoles on the other hand you put a game in and it works. Also you don't have to upgrade as often. I know that it will be a while until Sony, MS, and Nintendo releases a new console.

Good to see some replies to my post so thanks to all who have.

i still cant see any good enough reason to stick with sony.

1.socom ok it looks like it will be a good game.
so lets say sony release 5 good games to keep me interested is that really enough for such a big company.

2.Home to be honest it would be good to have but i think i would survive without it.

so as i originally posted i bought it too play games and it appears with a few exceptions good games are whats lacking.

too many times we see a trailer for this and a few screens of that and they turn out to be a complete wash out im not saying ps3 is alone with producing dodgy games the wii has loads of them.

software houses and console makers need to start listening to the consumer and produce some good quality games and not allow games companys to sell crap.

what with whats going on regarding the resession in the uk im a bit more careful with what i spend my money on so when i buy a game i expect it to be of high quality.

if i went to a restaraunt and bought a meal which was not any good i would send it back or simply refuse to pay for it, if only we could do this with games.

what happened to consumers rights.

It looks like your mind is made up. I think that the PS3 has made strides since its release and studios are becoming more familiar with the cell. I remember when tekken 3 came out on the PSone and how people could not believe that the psone was able to produce a game that looked as good as Tekken 3 did. I think that your putting way to high of an expectation on games. Don't get me wrong, if I was to pay $60 for a game I would like it for that game to be in fact worth $60. That being said there are ways to avoid being burned by a bad game purchase. With both PS3 and 360 demos are a good way. Renting is another way. I'm glad I rented Mercenaries 2 and I was glad I did cause the game is not worth $60.
But if you really don't want to feel like your stuck cause you bought a PS3 then buy the other 2 consoles.

Well, as far as the $60 price tag, a simpler reasoning behind that is that the higher quality demands the higher prices. Because it's hard to believe that a game like MGS4, which took, what, 4+ years to make? would be able to profit on just $20, $30, $50 a copy.

But that's that. I could be wrong. Not like I know the economy that well.

Anyway, it might feel like a big waste to get rid of your PS3 after spending 300, 400 big bucks on it. The funny thing, though, is that in order to enjoy it more, you'd have to get an HDTV (which you might have, I dunno), a good sound system, and a mess of a DVD collection...

...which means you'd have to spend more money. So yeah. I'm sure that helped out.

I own all 3 consoles and personally I like the PS3 best.

I think its important for gamers to remember that it takes a few years to really get into programming on any new system and start seeing games that are worth youre cash. I think we are just starting to get into that area with the PS3.

With games like Infamous, Baja and Granturismo 5 around the corner Im pretty excited about the PS3.

Anymore I buy cross platform games on the PS3 if only for the superior DS3 controller, vs the chunky Dreamcast reject that the 360 uses, also with the ability to swap a standard 2.5' HDD in the PS3 vs the over priced MS HDD's the PS3 scores an easy win when it comes to being a media server.

I already have a 320gig HDD in mine and over 30 movies in VOB format on the drive, overall the hardware and front end software is alot more to my liking than the 360 ever has been, dont even get me started on XBL vs PSN ; )

I say its paid for so keep it and enjoy what you can do with it or maybe try some things you havent, good games will come we just need to be patient.

NeoGeo ..... 2D goodness at its finest !
