Hey guys im buying my first 360 tmr. i will be getting the 60 gb model since its price dropped to 300$ and a store near me is also giving a copy of gears of war and another game for free with the concel. So i was just wondering whats going on with the red rings of death? is it fixed yet? i dont want to spend 300$ and then get red rings a month later. is there any thing else i should be worried about before purchasing my first xbox? thanks :)

i wouldnt say problem solved. but they are seeing fewer reports of it now. thats everything you should prolly know. although if it were me i would get the arcade and but the 120 gig HD that they just cut the price on, so you would be spending and extra 50$

I live in canada so maybe the prices are different from where you live.
xbox arcade - $199
xbox 60gb - $299
xbox 120gb - $399

so im just getting the 60gb one plus the store im getting it at (futreshop) is giving away gears of war and doa : extreme beach volleyball 2 with the 60gb system for free.

the arcade dosnt have a hard drive so you spend 199 on the console, 149$ on the new cheaper 120 gig HD and you will be all set for the new dashboard update that will enable you to copy games to the harddrive. the games are roughly 10 gig a pop. so with a 60 gig you can only get 6 games minus all of your game saves, arecade games, demos, movies, and all that other bs. for 49$ more you get twice the storage space. and gow will be almost extinct in 1 month.
