Hey guys I have a bit of a weird issue here, but I know this is the best place to get help.
I have a modded benq w/ ixtreme 1.4, and use a sony burner only using verbatims from singapore. My roomate has a modded hitachi w/ixtreme 1.4 and an hp laptop (idk brand) burner, using only verbatims from singapore as well.
Now the problem is his xbox reads disc's that i burn without a problem, and my benq can play discs from both burners without a problem. We are both using img burn with the sector set, but his drive cannot read disc's he burns. They work fine on my xbox however so I think it must just be some weird issue with the combination of things.
can anyone suggest an alternative program, or media to use, or what the possible problem could be?
any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

USE IMG BURN, TRY DIFFERENT BURN SPEEDS 2.4 - 4X CHANGE THE read speed of the drive sorry for the caps stuck button.
actually now that i took a second look at the post it is his 360 drive, try re-flashing the drive, changing the read speed if tha dosnt work, if those two things dont work sounds like he needs a new laser or drive.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was thinking maybe the biggest culprit might be the 360 drive, but i have heard some people have issue's w/verbs, do you think maybe a diff media? I'm not able to re-flash the drive atm so I was kind of looking for an alternative if possible. both drives are set at 8x and we both burn at 2.4x.

I have a problem w/my Verbatums even though I have the ones from Singapore.
Never had a problem until recently. Are the Verbatums going bad already. I have the 2.4x and I use the Samy Drive to do my backups. Idk if the Samy drive is getting old to do the backups or the Verbatums.
Any ideas any1?

the verbs should be fine as long as you are taking care of them. most likely drive is going bad if it cant read the media.

it can take a quick burn to the comp, but to back it up on to a verbatum it takes long alot of pauses. Do you think it might be that burner.

Thanks for the reply's homesick, hopefully the drive will hold out since I believe it is a launch console so no chance of warranty there. I was gonna have him try different media with his burner and xbox. If he ever gets around to it I'll post the results.
