I've been playing the Beta for a week now and was wondering what everyone thinks about it. I think the 32 player map size is amazing. The game is beautiful and the controls are more intuitive than MGS4 as far as third person shooters go. What does everyone else think about it?
It could be trash and I would still play it. Combined Assault was trash and I still played it, but Confrontation is a good game. There are some bugs in the game, but it is still in the beta stage. So many people I know bought a PS3 for SOCOM. The early adopters of the PS3 bought one for MGS4, SOCOM, and God of War. Socom was the first successful online multiplayer shooter on an online console, and possibly the best. SOCRACK is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm pretty excited for the actual game. Honestly, I have a lot of extra money from paychecks so I just went and pre-ordered the game and paid in full. I've never played SOCOM before but really, I played CoD4 for 8 hours a day on school nights and 12-16 hour days during the summer and that game is like a cartoon. If SOCOM even just had one level and I could play it twice a week in between CoD5, littlebigplanet, and gran turismo 5, I'd be more than ecstatic.
