Hi, hope someone can help.

Don't have a dvd writer, so if I have a divx file that is greater than 700mb how do I split it, so that I can burn it to 2 discs.

thank you.

Exactly how big is the AVI? If it's only a little over 700mb you can probably get away with overburning. If it's substantialy bigger you can cut it with VirtualDub.

Here's how you do it:

1. Open your movie with Virtualdub

2. Go to the video menu and select "Direct Stream Copy".

3. Click the "mark in" button. It located on the bottom of the menu and it looks a little like an arrow pointing left.

4. Drag the source position marker roughly to the midpoint(or cut the total time in half and find that value) and click the "mark out" button.

5. Go to the file menu and select "Save As AVI" and select a filename.

6. Now go to the edit menu and select "Delete".

7. Go back to file and save as filename #2. That's it, you're done.
