Hello

I got a question.. i hope that this is the right place to ask. if not please move it

so...the question is about my xbox360 drive.. its hitachi GDR-3120L, rom version 0046DH and now its totally crap..i was wondering if i order a new hitachi drive and just replace the logic board inside will it works ?


and the other problem is that i cant find a hitachi with the same rom version.. if i get 0047 or 0059 will it works ?

From what I've read you should be able to swap out the board and it'll work. Alot of people have said this about their samsung drives that crapped out on them and don't want to have to reflash a new drive with the old key. So swapping shouldn't be a problem as far as I know.

I'm not sure about the rom version needing to be the same. I would assume that it doesn't matter since the rom version is reffering to the board itself. The rest of the assembly should be the same but that's just my guess and I could be backwards about it.

Does anyone know for sure about it?
