I am about to build another computer and I want to take advantage of having more than 4gb of memory. I like to play games on it and I like to be able to multitask without it feeling sluggish. Would XP 64bit be a good choice or get my hands on Vista Ultimate 64 bit? Or is there other choices on gaming and multitasking?

XP 64-bit is dire, if you want 64-bit go for Vista, but obviously be aware that Vista carries its own problems, and if you have an nvidia graphics card, 64-bit OS should probably be avoided.

Well to help you out, I've been using Vista Ultimate x64 for quite a long time now (more than a year) and I have an 8800gtx... not too many problems so far :-)
